The Library knows that the work we do to promote lifelong learning and literacy development is only possible through the support of people like you. When you support the Orangeville Public Library, you help us offer books, movies, computer access, and programs to our community—free to everyone! There are several ways you can financially partner with us.
Make a general donation year-round.
A donation of any size helps us continue to offer and grow our programs and services for children and adults in our community. Our little library is not state-funded, which means we rely on annual donations and grants to keep our our doors open. The Orangeville Public Library has been serving our community for over 90 years, and we plan to remain an enriching and welcoming place for everyone! Your financial support will make this possible. Make a donation during a special campaign.
The Orangeville Public Library participates in several special giving campaigns throughout the year. (1) Raise the Region is a special 2-day fundraiser in March that brings nonprofit organizations across Central Pennsylvania together to celebrate our collective impact. Online donations through raisetheregion.org can be made during the two days, with a chance for the Library to receive special prizes and matching funds. (2) Our Annual Fund Drive launches in June each year. It provides a year-in-review look at what the Library has been doing and includes a special request for financial partners. (3) Many donors also support us during the international holiday #GivingTuesday, which encourages philanthropic support of nonprofit organizations the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
Make a donation to support our future.
In early 2022, the Library worked with the Community Giving Foundation to create another way for the community to support our longevity. Through the forethought and stewardship of our board, the Orangeville Public Library Agency Endowment Fund was established to forever benefit the future growth of Library services in our area. By donating to this fund, donors can easily include the Library in their estate and planned giving or support us through different types of gifts like stock, real estate, and other assets. Participate in a Fundraiser.
The Library holds many fundraisers throughout the year to supplement our budget and program support. Purchase a raffle ticket, stock up at one of our book sales, or join the fun during “guest bartending”! Learn more about our upcoming fundraisers here.
