The Orangeville Public Library is excited to announce the Next Chapter Scholarship, which offers one $500 scholarship to a high school senior residing within Columbia County who is planning to pursue post-secondary education or training.

The Next Chapter Scholarship aims to encourage the love of reading and support the future goals of local students. Whether you’re heading to college or a specialized training program, we’d love to support your “next chapter”!

Eligibility Requirements:

• Open to Class of 2026 graduating high school seniors (including those that are home schooled) residing in Columbia County.

• Must plan to pursue post-secondary education or vocational training after graduation.

• Submit a completed application form by Friday, May 1, 2026.

How to Apply:

• Drop off or mail your completed application, along with your essay responses, to Orangeville Public Library.

• Drop off: 301 Mill Street, Orangeville PA 17859 (find hours of operation at the bottom of this webpage)

• Mail: Orangeville Public Library, PO Box 268, Orangeville PA 17859

• Ensure your application is received by Friday, May 1, 2026.

Selection Process:

The scholarship committee will review all applications based on the quality of responses, creativity, and alignment with the values of the Orangeville Public Library. The winner will be notified by June 1, 2026, and will be required to come accept their award in person at the Library.
